WebAssemble a spacer to simplify installation of the remaining pickets. Attach a short block of 2x4 to the back of a longer, straight 2x4. Hang the spacer on the top rail, against a corner picket. Install the next picket flush against the spacer to get the proper 3-1/2-inch spacing and to keep the picket plumb. Steps: WebAttach one section of fence to the post by sliding the notched rails of the panel into the holes of the post. Then use a 1” self tapping screw to screw into the side of the post through the rail inside to secure the fence panel to the post. Repeat this for the number of rails your fence panel has. Put the post in the first hole.
